Romantic Big Canoe Getaway

While the North Georgia real estate market is not as hot as it was in 2006 and early 2007, the Big Canoe real estate market (located in the North Georgia mountains) is still fairly active. Part of this activity is related to the very active Big Canoe rental market. For our company, IBA Mountain Homes, Big Canoe rentals have been on the rise since the start of 2008. One of my hottest rentals in Big Canoe is also one of my least expensive! It’s a one bedroom Treetopper with a lake view and a luxurious set-up. The owner had some big-time vision when she found this little gem of Big Canoe real estate. She stripped it and made it into a honeymoon quatilty showplace. It rents because it’s sexy and inexpensive. Yes, that did sound like a lingerie add, but one can’t help but to let down their hair here. The studio bedroom is bright, open, and dressed in fabulous linens. The fireplace is wood burning and ads soooo much ambiance on those chilly winter nights. The kitchen is efficient but not ready for a 4 course meal. It has 2 burners, a coffee machine, microwave and small fridge. It doesn’t matter too much since there are 2 restaurants within walking distance, and also an IGA Express with a nice variety of wine and beer.
This unit is also for sale, and in my opinion, one of the best investments in Big Canoe. The asking price is $159,900 and furnishings are negotiable.
