Interior Designers Serving Big Canoe - Cynthia Aiken
By kve | April 28, 2008
Customers always ask me to find them certain style homes when they first come to Big Canoe. They have big ideas in mind and I’m always happy to help whether it’s a rustic cabin with a view or a formal well appointed home with all the bells and whistles. As you know, Big Canoe real estate has such a wide variety of homes that it’s tough to stick to your original plans! Don’t toss out a home with a fabulous view if it doesn’t have everything you want. The theory is simple, homes can change, views stay the same. I plan to take a few blogs this week to review some of our local and very popular designers that have made a huge difference in how Big Canoe decorates. Tonight’s featured designer is Cynthia Aiken of Cynthia Aiken Interiors located at the Foothills Shopping Center in Marble Hill (next to Trevi Pizza).
One feels inspired the moment they walk into Cynthia’s store. Her dramatic use of elegant fabrics and sinkably soft furniture inspire all visitors! Hearty French Country cupboards filled with interesting items from red clay vases to fine glasses keep you searching the store for more unique treasures. Many original paintings are available for purchase as well. The lamps are fabulous and also reasonably priced. It is truly difficult to walk out without getting something, even if it’s just a soap or candle. Help is easy to find in a non-pressure and extremely friendly atmosphere. Whether it is simply one room or a whole house Cynthia has the “fairy godmother’ touch that solves even the most challenging spaces. Her enthusiasm is addictive. Working with Cynthia is refreshing because she views every home as a tabula rasa.
My personal testimonial about her store is that I bought a house to go with the ottoman that I found in her store 3 years ago!!! My feet are resting on it as I write!
