Hi Tom!

Traffic stoppers in Atlanta - isn't that the truth? I hope your family enjoyed their visit. The deer don't seem to be to scared of us do they? Have you gotten to see any wild turkeys with an attitude yet? The males get sort of cocky every so often, and they'll puff up and threaten their own reflection. Hope to catch up with you more soon.

Great pics! I've been able to get a few shots of the deer running around here too. These are the first fawns I've seen though.

The deer were all out on Monday. I was driving my parents around the community while they were visiting and had several deer sightings. We had to stop once while some crossed the road... as if the whole world rotated around them. Actually, I think it did at that moment!

Quite a change from the traffic stoppers in Atlanta!

Hi Valerieanne,
We can't wait to see you guys! Please tell Iggie that we do have a few of his cousins here, the 3 inch long Blue Tailed Skinks, but most of the ones in our yard are "no-tailed" skinks thanks to the cat!

Hi Karin & Dan ! We named this delightful little fellow, Ignacius the Iguana. I do admire his formiddable presence however, I would prefer to do so while watching the Nature Channel, than with my mouth agape, a few feet away :( ha ha

When the day comes that we make Big Canoe our full time home, I will gladly bid dear ol' Ignacius sweet adieu and happily say "Hello Bambi!" to those lovely and gentle fawns of Big Canoe.

Very funny Karin! I would have been really impressed if your blog had included a picture of Mothra (the giant moth) or Gamera ( the giant turtle). They were the wildlife that was always rampaging through Tokyo in the Godzilla movies ! :)
