Happy Anniversary! Life in Big Canoe Celebrates 1 Year of Blogging

I am happy to announce after 1 full year of blogging like a crazy lady IBA Mountain Homes is celebrating one great year of success! I never realized how widespread this little blog would be. We made it into the New York Times twice this year and have learned so much about our readers through your comments, questions, and concerns regarding not only the Big Canoe Community but also the surrounding areas that add so much character to life in the North Georgia Mountains. We blog about everything from big bargains to blueberry picking. I can not thank my subscribers enough for your thoughtful comments. Please keep them coming.
This blog and IBA Mountain Homes will move forward into 2009 with eyes of opportunity. The future of real estate is unpredictable but it is my opinion that 2009 will move real estate in Big Canoe faster than predicted. With rates this week dropping into the 4’s and homes at prices lower than 3 years ago, I believe that even the cash buyers will be enticed to get loans. Discounted and variable rate commission brokers, such as offered by IBA Mountain Homes are going to help the sellers when it comes to negotiating lower than average offers. If you are in the market or have been waiting to snap up some Big Canoe real estate at a low, low price, now is truly the time.
Thank you again for all your support! Please feel free to comment about your favorite blog post this year. I’ll be here throughout the holidays and hope to get a few more posts out before the peach falls!

I love this photo! I think my favorite blog was the one about the mushrooms. I love the nature at Big Canoe and that was a great example of its beautiful, changing face.

Hi Kelli- Thanks! With good hopes there will be more snow soon and the kids will be able to use the sleds that Santa is bringing. I don’t know if I can beat the picture of your snowy cabin but will email you if I do! PS That Mushroom blog seemed to be pretty popular. It’s funny because I felt silly posting it!!
Chuck- You and Mimi have been stellar supporters. How ironic was it when I found out that you lived right around the corner! Very small world!
