If you felt the ground shaking about a month ago it’s because I joined the fitness center here in Big Canoe. When school started I suddenly realized that I had 2 whole hours before 9AM all to myself. For years I kept putting off exercise for this, that, and the other and having an office 10 feet from my kitchen was not helping. The morning workout is easy because I have to drive past the fitness center after I drop off the kids. With no calls before 9AM I am able to focus on the workout rather than work. The past month has been a rewarding challenge and now that this good habit has been established I feel like I’m refreshed and ready to take on the world of real estate.
Pilates Class the First Week of School
The Big Canoe Fitness Center is a state of the art facility with an indoor saline pool, hot tub, sauna, squash and racquet ball court, weight and cardio machines with TVs, juice bar, lake view workout room, and a professional staff that is top notch. What I found the most surprising was the social aspect of this gym. The morning crowd is fun and informative. I’ve been mixing up the workouts with classes like Pilate’s and step aerobics, machines, swimming, and was even recruited into squash lessons by Vince, the local squash-holic. Oddly enough when I’m finished working out I feel invigorated and inspired to get back to work. Guess I’m doing something right!

Whether you are up to Big Canoe for a weekend visit or a lifetime be sure to stop by for a workout. Guests are welcome to work out for a daily fee which includes everything or they can just come to use the indoor pool. The membership prices are broken up into single, couple, and family and all fees can be broken into monthly payments. For prices please send me an email and I’ll be happy to send it.
