Leasing a Home in the
Big Canoe® Community

Relaxing in the hot tub while overlooking a long range view of the Appalachian Mountains.

Leasing a home in Big Canoe has a lot of advantages. Big Canoe is a very large community with several neighborhoods ranging from the meadow like terrain of Wildcat all the way to the 3000 ft elevations of Sanderlin Mountain. As a newcomer to Big Canoe it is sometimes difficult to decide which neighborhood to reside. Many buyers choose to lease a home in Big Canoe for 6 months or a year so they can become familiar with all the neighborhoods while they enjoy all that Big Canoe has to offer.

It is a good idea if you are building a home in Big Canoe to live here as well to oversee the daily events of the construction. Builders often call the owners to meet them at the construction site during several stages of the building process. Being on hand can also expedite the the wole building process.

Another very important point is that Big Canoe is a unique community that may not suit everyone's needs. Leasing a home in Big Canoe lets you try out the mountain resort living lifestyle. Most of the time the results are favorable but for the few that feel coose to live elsewhere they afe free to move out after their lease ends.

Lease homes come furnished and unfurnished and range in price from around $950 to $2,500 (or avove) per month. It is customary to pay a one month deposit along with the first month's payment. Furnished homes may require an additional deposit. While leasing you are responsible for all utilities including but not limited to: electricity, water, propane, cable, phone. Renters are allowed to use the amenities with signed permission from their landlords.
